It’s amazing how far behind the rest of the world we are when it comes to tea. Our global commerce is pretty much epitomized by the Starbucks that have popped up on every corner of the world. But in the last decade I’ve noticed that people have started to shift their allegiances from the morning espresso to a green tea, even if I still get weird stares when ordering a cup of Ginger Peach at my local hipster coffee spot.
These “tea totalers,” as my expert on this week’s Wellness Wednesday calls them, are on to something a lot more energizing and profound than just a morning pick me up. To find out more about how to use tea to heal what ails you, I hope you’ll tune in to hear Miriam Novalle, dubbed by the New York Times as the official “tea guru,” wax poetic about the ancient medicinal qualities of tea, ways you can upgrade your tea cupboard, and how an ordinary cup of tea can warm the soul and balance your life. I’ll be posting more of Miriam’s tea wisdom on the site next week along with a giveaway of her T Salon line of wellness blends!
